• Humidification: These machines often rely on waterless humidification systems (e.g., heat moisture exchangers, “HME”) or may have none at all.
• Mask Compatibility: Some travel CPAPs work with any standard CPAP mask and tubing, while others require proprietary accessories.
• Prescription Requirement: As with standard CPAP machines, a prescription from your sleep medicine physician is necessary to obtain a travel CPAP machine.‍
• Insurance Coverage:
